The CAT 2023 exam will be of moderate difficulty level, with a mix of straightforward and challenging questions.
The Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section will slightly easier than the previous year, with a focus on comprehension and critical thinking.
The Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) section will be of moderate difficulty, with a mix of data-based and reasoning-based questions.
The Quantitative Aptitude (QA) section will be the most challenging, with a mix of basic and advanced concepts.
The breakdown of the types of questions that might be asked in each section:

VARC:
Reading Comprehension (RC): The RC passages were generally of moderate length and complexity, with a mix of fiction and non-fiction texts. The questions focused on comprehension, inference, and critical thinking.
Verbal Ability (VA): The VA questions covered a wide range of topics, including grammar, vocabulary, and critical reasoning. The questions will be generally of moderate difficulty, with a few challenging ones.
DILR:
Data-based questions: These questions required candidates to analyze and interpret data from tables, charts, and graphs. The data sets will be of moderate complexity, with a few challenging ones.
Reasoning-based questions: These questions would test candidates' logical reasoning skills and ability to solve puzzles. The questions will be of moderate difficulty, with a few challenging ones.
QA:
Number Properties: These questions would test candidates' understanding of basic number concepts, such as prime numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Algebra: These questions would test candidates' understanding of algebraic concepts, such as equations, inequalities, and functions.
Geometry: These questions would test candidates' understanding of geometric concepts, such as triangles, circles, and quadrilaterals.
Arithmetic: These questions would test candidates' understanding of basic arithmetic concepts, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Mensuration: These questions would test candidates' understanding of mensuration formulas, such as area, perimeter, and volume.

Number Properties: Divisibility, HCF, LCM, surds, indices, prime factorization, remainders Algebra: Linear equations, quadratic equations, functions, groups, polynomials, logarithms, algebraic identities, maxima and minima.
Geometry: Mensuration, triangles, circles, quadrilaterals, coordinate geometry
Arithmetic: Percentage, ratio and proportion, profit and loss, simple and compound interest, averages, mixtures, work and time
Modern Math: Permutations and combinations, probability, sets
